Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Travel Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting patients in a stepdown unit as a Registered Nurse. This dynamic position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact, providing specialized care for individuals transitioning from critical care to general medical-surgical units. You'll collaborate with a dedicated interdisciplinary team, focusing on excellent patient outcomes and compassionate support during each phase of recovery.
Qualifications:
Current RN license in good standing Stepdown, progressive care, or intermediate care nursing experience preferred Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Proficiency in patient monitoring, medication administration, and electronic charting BLS and ACLS certifications required
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct nursing care to stepdown unit patients following professional standards and care protocols Conduct ongoing patient assessments and respond to changes in condition swiftly and accurately Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and interventions with precision Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and support staff to coordinate each patient's plan of care Educate patients and families on disease processes, recovery, and home care needs Document all care provided accurately and in a timely manner Promote a safe, respectful, and healing environment for patients, visitors, and team members This assignment allows you to build on your intensive care skills, work alongside expert colleagues, and enhance your profile in a high-acuity clinical setting.
