Key Responsibilities:
Assist during surgical procedures, maintaining sterility and providing instrumentation to the surgical team. Apply expertise in sterile and aseptic technique, human anatomy, and surgical procedures. Monitor the sterile field and initiate corrective actions if contamination occurs. Ensure all equipment is functional and that the operating environment maximizes patient safety. Contribute to individualized patient care and support perioperative processes. Demonstrate effective, timely communication throughout surgical briefings and debriefings. Participate in patient transports, room turnovers, and preparation. Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization. Stay updated on new surgical technologies and procedures. Model professional behavior and uphold principles of a Just Culture.Qualifications:
Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program or equivalent, and licensure as a Surgical Technologist in Colorado. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Experience caring for patients across all age groups, from neonatal through geriatric. Ability to work efficiently as part of a multidisciplinary team. Competency with basic computer skills or willingness to learn within 90 days.Travel & Professional Perks:
