Qualifications:
Current certification or licensure as an Operating Room/Surgical Technologist (ORT) In-depth knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile technique Proven ability to perform equipment set-up, operate specialized surgical technology, and facilitate complex operative cases Strong organizational skills for maintaining supplies, equipment, and accurate patient charge documentation Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a high-paced operating room setting
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of surgical procedures, promptly solving problems related to current cases Verify items on the physician preference card and ensure all operating supplies and equipment are accurately accounted for Assemble, operate, clean, and sterilize all equipment, instruments, and disposables—ensuring everything meets surgery standards and is in optimal condition Maintain a sterile environment, monitor sterile fields, and address any lapses in technique Prepare accurate medication, instrument, and supply accounting on the sterile field per policy in a timely and reliable manner
