Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Travel Step into a vital surgical support role as a CVOR Surgical Technologist, working alongside skilled professionals to provide exceptional care in the operating room. This contract opportunity requires expertise in cardiovascular, vascular, and robotic surgical procedures, and the ability to respond efficiently in high-acuity environments.
Schedule/Hours:
Options include 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:00 am - 6:30 pm), or 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (6:00 am - 4:30 pm). On-call coverage consists of one weekend per month, with 1-2 weekday on-call shifts as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a CVOR Surgical Technologist. Valid NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential is required. Demonstrated skills in cardiac, vascular, and robotic surgical procedures. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced settings. Availability and flexibility to meet the on-call requirements.
Responsibilities:
Assist surgical teams during complex cardiovascular, vascular, and robotic procedures, ensuring proper setup and functionality of all instrumentation. Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control protocols throughout all procedures. Anticipate surgeon and team needs, proactively preparing necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment. Safeguard patient safety by accurately counting and monitoring instruments and sponges. Participate in OR preparation, turnover, and post-procedure processes, contributing to efficient workflow for the surgical suite.
