Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - CVOR Job Type Travel Deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic cardiovascular operating room setting with this opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse. This contract role focuses on supporting surgical teams and ensuring the safe care of patients during complex heart and vascular procedures.
Schedule & Hours:
12-hour day shifts 36 hours per week 13-week assignment On-call requirement: One weekend per month plus 1-2 days during the week
Qualifications:
Current and unencumbered RN license Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR experience Valid BLS certification from the American Heart Association Strong critical thinking and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient safety
Responsibilities:
Scrub and circulate for cardiovascular and thoracic surgical cases Monitor patients' vital signs and response throughout perioperative phases Prepare and maintain a sterile field, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to facilitate efficient operations Respond quickly in emergency situations, demonstrating sound judgment under pressure Accurately document procedures, nursing interventions, and patient status in medical records Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families
