Your expertise as a Surgical Technologist will be highly valued as you perform vital roles across a wide range of specialties, including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, OBGYN, podiatry, urology, and dental procedures. Schedule:
Predominantly 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (with some early start times depending on the surgical schedule) On-call rotation: approximately one night every two-week pay period, and every 5th or 6th weekend Participation in a holiday call rotation
Qualifications:
Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program Prefer Surgical Technologist Certification Current American Heart Association BLS certification State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter training Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility during on-call hours Prior experience in a variety of surgical specialties preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, maintain, and assist during surgical procedures across multiple specialties Ensure all instruments and supplies are accounted for and sterile Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers to deliver outstanding patient care Stay prepared and flexible for a range of surgical cases and emergencies
