Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Travel Step into a crucial patient care role supporting surgical procedures as an Operating Room Registered Nurse. This opportunity calls for committed professionals who thrive under pressure and are passionate about delivering exceptional perioperative care. As a key team member, you will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nursing personnel to ensure safe, smooth surgical experiences.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current and active RN license Minimum of 1 year recent experience in an Operating Room setting Proficient in circulating and/or scrubbing techniques Advanced knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques Strong critical thinking and communication skills Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms and instruments according to specific surgical requirements Monitor and provide for the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after surgery Serve as a circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse as needed for various procedures Maintain strict adherence to infection prevention protocols Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal outcomes Document nursing activities and patient status accurately and in a timely manner Respond quickly to intraoperative emergencies, exercising sound judgment
