What You'll Need:
Valid Educator Certification (state and/or national for Teachers of the Visually Impaired) Previous experience in visual impairment education preferred Ability to obtain district-required background check promptly Flexibility to work on-site and travel between schools as needed Dedication to creating an inclusive, accessible learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments (caseload details and school assignments TBD) Develop and implement individualized lesson plans and accommodations Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff Utilize and adapt assistive technologies and materials Complete progress monitoring and documentation Participate in IEP meetings and ensure compliance with district standards
