Working in a setting with a Level 1 Trauma designation and Stroke Center status, you'll collaborate with leading clinicians and benefit from diverse approaches, expanding your skills with each shift. This setting encourages the pursuit of professional growth, whether you're an experienced RN or a first-time traveler with a strong med-surg background.
Schedule/Hours:
12-hour shifts: 0630-1900 or 1830-0630 Weekend rotation: Every other weekend Holiday commitment: 75% of holidays Rotating 6-week schedule
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years' experience in MedSurg/Tele Active RN license and
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
certifications Proficiency with telemetry, chest tubes, trachs, PIV starts, lab draws Excellent collaborative and communication skills Able to thrive under moderate to high stress Willingness to float to other med/surg units as needed
Responsibilities:
Provide direct/indirect care for patients with diverse diagnoses: DM, respiratory, GI, renal, wounds Perform and monitor telemetry strips, central lines, PCA pump management Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, rapid response, and 24/7 hospitalist/intensivist teams Use cutting-edge technologies: Epic EMR, Alaris IV, Omnicell Maintain rigorous documentation and safety standards
