Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-PACU Job Type Travel Deliver excellence in patient care as a Registered Nurse specializing in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This contract role offers a rewarding opportunity to use your expertise in a dynamic clinical environment, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients recovering from anesthesia. Responsibilities will include close monitoring of patients during the immediate post-operative period, rapid response to changes in patient condition, and clear communication with both patients and their families regarding care and recovery. Your skills will support effective pain management, vital sign monitoring, and adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced setting. Collaboration with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other nursing staff will be key in delivering seamless patient care.
Desired qualifications:
Active, unencumbered RN license Demonstrated experience in a PACU or critical care setting Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications Proficiency in assessing post-surgical patients and responding to complications Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and focused in urgent situations Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy Key responsibilities: Monitor post-operative patients and provide tailored nursing interventions Assess and document patient status, updating care plans as needed Manage IV lines, medications, and patient pain control Educate patients and families about post-operative care Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient safety and positive outcomes This opportunity provides valuable experience working within a supportive environment, where your skills are valued and growth is encouraged.
