As a travel RN specializing in Med/Surg Telemetry, you'll not only advance your clinical skills but also immerse yourself in the unique workplace culture of a leading regional facility that serves as a designated Chest Pain and Stroke Center. This opportunity is ideal for professionals eager to glean knowledge from varied leadership styles and build a standout resume with exposure to a wide spectrum of patient populations and conditions. Schedule & Hours Weekend rotation: Every other weekend No on-call hours Holiday coverage: Work 75% of holidays (with advanced notice) Flexible scheduling cycle every 6 weeks Up to 6 days off (excluding holidays; additional days can be added to contract as needed) Qualifications Current RN license Minimum 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience preferred BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (Resource Team requirement) Strong general Med/Tele skillset: stroke care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach and chest tube management, PIV starts, NGT placement, drain/tube and PCA pump management Experience with management of medication drips (cardiac, Heparin), blood products, IVF Comfort with Epic, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and Phillips monitors Willingness to float within regional network per assignment needs Key Responsibilities Care for patients with a wide range of diagnoses (renal, diabetes, cardiac, behavioral health, fluid overload, and more) Provide high-quality telemetry and medical-surgical care with patient ratios of 1:5-6 (critical surge 1:7-8) Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, and support staff Participate in orientation and adapt rapidly to new environments and unit protocols Perks & Benefits Tax-advantaged stipends for housing and travel Comprehensive travel assistance, ensuring smooth transitions between assignments Premium compensation packages Health coverage and 401(k) options for job security and future planning Expand your professional network and enjoy meaningful experiences in a dynamic, supportive community Free parking; navy scrubs required Grow your nursing expertise while making the most of everything Huntersville and the surrounding region have to offer.
