Tree Climber/ Arborist/ Bucket Truck Operator

Burns Tree Service is seeking an experienced Tree Climber / Crew Leader to join our growing, family-owned business. Summary:

The Tree Climber is a skilled position responsible for tree maintenance, pruning, removals on residential and commercial properties using ropes, harness, saddle, and/or bucket truck.

Essential Functions:

Perform pruning and tree removals in accordance with industry standards. Assures jobs are completed to quality standards. Communicates with clients, crew and supervisors professionally Performs related duties as necessary Operate bucket truck and spider lift Perform tree climbing and aerial tree work Lead and manage crew on job sites Ensure all safety procedures are followed Maintain equipment and job site cleanliness Must demonstrate the following competencies: Ability to work in a team environment where communication skills are essential Ability to perform strenuous work in all weather conditions Attention to detail The ability to demonstrate accuracy for high quality of care Knowledge and execution of proper pruning per ISA standards Possess tree and plant identification skills Demonstrated climbing ability Demonstrate knowledge of climbing knots Experience in tree climbing and removals Ability to operate bucket trucks and spider lifts Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required) Strong leadership skills Reliable and hardworking

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively 2 Years climbing experience Must have a valid Driver's License The ability to travel Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen Equal opportunity employer Apply with resume/work experience and references
