Tree Climber/Groundsperson

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Tree Climber/Groundsperson, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining healthy, beautiful landscapes through skilled tree care and landscape maintenance. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, utilizing your climbing expertise and ground skills to ensure safety, precision, and aesthetic excellence. Whether climbing trees or supporting ground operations, you'll be integral to delivering top-tier arboricultural services while fostering a safe and productive work environment. Duties Safely climb trees using rigging techniques to prune, remove, or shape branches in accordance with industry standards. Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to access elevated work areas efficiently and securely. Assist with rigging and lowering large limbs or debris using appropriate knots, pulleys, and safety equipment. Conduct ground-based landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, mulching, and general landscaping to enhance site appearance. Support tree care projects by preparing work zones, setting up safety barriers, and assisting with equipment setup. Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and documenting tree inventories or landscape layouts. Maintain safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards. Skills Proven experience in tree climbing, tree trimming, and arboriculture practices with growing knowledge of horticulture principles. Strong understanding of rigging techniques for safe removal or pruning of trees. Ability to operate bucket trucks, lifts, and other landscaping machinery confidently and safely. Familiarity with GIS technology for mapping or inventory purposes is a plus. Knowledge of landscape maintenance including lawn care, planting, pruning, and general horticultural practices. Excellent physical fitness with the ability to climb trees comfortably and perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions. Effective communication skills for working collaboratively with team members and clients.
