You will be responsible for planting, caring for, and maintaining a variety of tree species, ensuring they grow strong and healthy from seedling to maturity. Duties Plant young trees and seedlings accurately according to specified spacing and depth requirements Water and irrigate trees using manual or automated systems to promote optimal growth Monitor plant health by inspecting for pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies; take appropriate action when needed Maintain nursery grounds by pruning, staking, fertilizing, and mulching trees to ensure vigorous development Operate hand tools and mechanical equipment such as shovels, hoes, wheelbarrows, and small tractors safely and efficiently Assist with greenhouse activities including potting, transplanting, and seedling propagation Record planting data, growth progress, and maintenance activities accurately using basic math skills Experience Prior experience in horticulture, farming, landscaping or outdoor plant care is highly desirable Knowledge of irrigation systems and watering techniques to support healthy plant growth Familiarity with plant identification and basic gardening practices Hands-on experience with greenhouse operations or nursery management preferred Mechanical knowledge related to operating small farm equipment or tools beneficial Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during planting or maintenance tasks Strong attention to detail with good organizational skills for tracking plant progress and maintenance schedules This role offers an engaging environment where your outdoor work makes a tangible difference!
