Overview The Manager in Training position is an exciting opportunity designed to develop future leaders in retail management. This paid training role offers hands-on experience in store operations, customer service, team management, and sales strategies. You will gain the skills necessary to advance into a full management role, supporting the success of our stores and delivering outstanding service to our customers. Duties Assist with daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and cash handling Support hiring, onboarding, and training new team members to ensure excellent employee orientation and development Participate in interviewing prospective employees and evaluating candidates for various roles Help manage sales transactions using POS (Point of Sale) systems and ensure accurate cash register procedures Contribute to inventory control, purchasing decisions, and pricing strategies to maximize profitability Supervise team members during shifts, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to company policies Engage in marketing initiatives and promotional activities to boost store sales and customer engagement Skills Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively Proficiency in retail math, bookkeeping, payroll, and budgeting fundamentals Experience or familiarity with retail sales, cashiering, inventory management, and POS systems Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases Demonstrated leadership with supervising experience or assistant manager background Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple tasks Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, pricing strategies, and retail marketing techniques Ability to handle negotiations confidently and provide exceptional customer service Competence in phone etiquette, store management practices, and administrative responsibilities This Manager in Training role is an excellent stepping stone for individuals eager to grow their career in retail management.
