Triage Registered Nurse

About the Role We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Triage Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing cardiology team. This role is essential in ensuring timely, high-quality care for patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions. You'll serve as a key liaison between patients and providers, performing triage, coordinating care, and supporting cardiac diagnostics and treatment. What You'll Do Patient Triage & Assessment Perform in-person and telehealth assessments for cardiac patients Triage symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, and syncope Prioritize care needs and route patients appropriately (same-day, provider visit, or emergency care) Initiate emergency interventions when needed Patient Care & Education Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, medications, and treatment plans Provide instructions on cardiac monitors and other devices Communicate care plans and updates clearly Clinical & Diagnostic Support Perform EKGs, vital signs, blood draws, and INR testing Apply and educate patients on cardiac monitors (Holter/event/patch) Start, monitor, and complete IV therapies Perform and document cardiac testing as ordered Care Coordination Collaborate with cardiologists and providers to coordinate testing, referrals, and follow-ups Communicate patient status changes promptly Assist with chart prep, reviewing results, and closing encounters Medication & Prescription Management Process refill requests and manage refill voicemail Draft prescriptions for provider approval Handle prior authorizations and communicate outcomes Manage medication samples and educate patients on usage Telehealth Conduct triage and follow-ups via telehealth Ensure accurate documentation and compliance What We're Looking For Active RN license in good standing Cardiology, telemetry, or critical care experience preferred Strong clinical judgment and triage skills Experience with phlebotomy and IV therapy strongly preferred Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Athena, etc. preferred) Excellent communication and multitasking abilities Why Join Us?
