Triton Elite Coaching Svcs: Assistant Swim Coach (USA Swimming certified)

Job Summary Triton Elite Coaching Services LLC is seeking a motivated and energetic Assistant Swim Coach to support its coaching operations across multiple USA Swimming member clubs in the Southeast Valley, including Arizona Tritons and Seville Country Club Sharks. This sub-contract role involves working alongside the Head Coach to deliver engaging, high-quality swim instruction to athletes of all ages and skill levels. Coaching services are provided at partner facilities in Gilbert and Queen Creek, and candidates should be comfortable working at either location based on program needs. The ideal candidate comes from a strong competitive swimming and/or coaching background, is passionate about teaching, communicates effectively, and has experience working with youth and/or athletic programs. Candidates must be willing to obtain or currently hold USA Swimming coaching certifications. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a dynamic, athlete-centered coaching environment. Duties Assist in planning and implementing swim training sessions tailored to various skill levels Understanding of training cycles and willingness to execute them as supplies by head coach Support the head coach in supervising practices, ensuring safety and proper technique Foster a positive, encouraging environment to motivate swimmers of all ages Help manage behavior and maintain a structured, safe training atmosphere Provide instruction on swimming technique, water safety and sportsmanship Assist with setup and breakdown of equipment before and after practices Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development Communicate with parents regarding swimmer progress when appropriate Attend swim meets and team events as needed, including weekends Experience A strong passion for competitive swimming, supported by deep practical experience and technical expertise in the sport. Prior USA Swimming experience strongly preferred; current certifications (highly desirable), or willingness to obtain (required) Background in coaching, teaching, or physical education is a plus Knowledge of swim technique, water safety and athlete development from beginning stroke development, through age-group to elite and then on to masters programming Experience working with athletes of varying ages and skill levels Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Dependability and reliability are non-negotiables This position is ideal for individuals passionate about coaching, athlete development and creating a positive team culture in competitive swimming.
