Project Superintendent / Site Manager Position Summary Arrowhead Contracting is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Dump Truck Driver / Truck Driver to support environmental remediation and construction activities at project sites in the Chattanooga, TN area. This position is responsible for operating dump trucks and other assigned vehicles to transport soil, aggregate, debris, equipment, and environmental materials while maintaining compliance with all DOT regulations, environmental requirements, and company safety standards. The ideal candidate has experience operating commercial vehicles in construction, remediation, industrial, or environmental site conditions and demonstrates strong attention to safety, communication, and site awareness. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities Safely operate dump trucks and other company vehicles to transport materials to and from environmental project sites. Haul soil, aggregate, rock, construction materials, debris, and approved environmental waste in accordance with project requirements. Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections and maintain required inspection logs. Load, secure, transport, and unload materials safely and efficiently. Follow all DOT regulations , company policies, and environmental compliance requirements. Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, equipment operators, and field crews regarding hauling schedules and site logistics. Maintain accurate delivery tickets, load documentation, inspection reports, and daily work records. Assist field personnel with general labor duties as needed during downtime. Monitor haul routes and changing site conditions to maintain safe operations. Identify and immediately report vehicle concerns, hazards, incidents, spills, or unsafe conditions. Operate equipment safely around excavation activities, remediation areas, utility work, and active construction zones. Support housekeeping and environmental controls to minimize dust, runoff, and contamination risks. Participate in daily safety meetings and comply with all company and client site requirements. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. Valid Drivers License with acceptable driving record required. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Class A or Class B preferred. Ability to pass DOT physical/medical and drug screening requirements. Minimum 2 years of commercial truck driving experience (dump truck, construction hauling, environmental, or industrial preferred). Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background requirements. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe commercial vehicle operation. Experience completing vehicle inspection reports and haul documentation. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, and occasional weekends as project needs require. Preferred Qualifications Environmental remediation, industrial construction, earthwork, excavation, or civil construction experience. Experience transporting regulated materials or working on environmental cleanup sites. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred. Experience operating additional heavy equipment is a plus. Knowledge of erosion control and environmental compliance practices. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while operating vehicles. Ability to climb in and out of trucks and equipment repeatedly throughout the day. Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and uneven terrain. Ability to wear required PPE including hard hat, safety vest, gloves, eye protection, and steel-toed boots. Work Environment Work is performed primarily on active environmental and construction project sites and may include exposure to heavy equipment, dust, mud, noise, weather conditions, and varying terrain. Strict adherence to safety and environmental procedures is required.
