Truck Driver Class A CDL

Local-distance driving Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers Obeying and following applicable traffic laws Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules Complying with truck driving rules and regulations Reporting defects, accidents and violations Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.) Interacting with customers in a professional manner Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports Recording cargo deliveries Verifying loads for accuracy Summary As a Truck Driver Class A CDL, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, to transport goods efficiently. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, your core skills in driving and truck operation will be essential for navigating various routes. Your premium skills in handling manual transmissions and refrigerated trailers will enhance your versatility on the job. Additionally, relevant experience in delivery driving, loading and unloading freight, and operating forklifts will contribute to our commitment to timely and safe deliveries. Qualifications Valid Class A CDL license Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailer combinations Familiarity with manual transmission and various trailer types, including refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker Strong delivery driver experience with skills in loading and unloading freight Ability to navigate routes efficiently and safely Experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment is a plus
