Injection Molding Tooling Technician Job Responsibilities

• Develop schedules and perform preventive maintenance on injection molds
• Perform Repairs on injection molds
• Perform mold insert changes
• Store and maintain validated mold components
• Document, organize and maintain list of tooling and associated components
• Daily maintenance of toolroom machinery
• Scheduling and coordination of mold repairs with external providers
• Repair and machining of new fixtures
• Building of new robot tooling
• Follow 5s program daily to ensure proper machine, tool and facility cleanliness and organization
• Communicate production opportunities to management and strive to improve productivity, quality, and safety.
• Adhere to all company quality policies and procedures
• Other duties assigned by Supervisor Job Knowledge and Skills
• Knowledge of plastic injection mold tooling
• Understanding of hydraulics and electrical current
• Advanced mechanical skills
• Knowledge of plastic processing
• Knowledge of robots
• Knowledge of quality control processes and SPC
• Knowledge of moving/hoisting equipment
• Must have successfully completed Lakone Company's forklift training class
• Ability to work towards goals
• Understand key performance indicators
• Knowledge of 5S
• Ability to stand for 10 hours
• Knowledge of Automation and ERP is a plus Experience

Manufacturing:

5 years (Preferred)

• Plastics injection mold making, repair and maintenance: 5 years (Preferred)

Troubleshooting:

3 years (Preferred)

• Bilingual is a plus Shift Availability
• 1st shift

Pay:

$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
