Truck Driver Class A CDL

Job Summary:

We are a small Construction company based out of West Bridgewater Massachusetts looking for a driver to haul material working on a Gas Utility jobsite. The work is mainly spanning from Hyde Park to Mattapoisett but mostly in the Brockton Area. The hours are Monday-Friday 7am to 3:30pm varying with paid overtime. Occasional Saturday work is offered in summer months. You will be working on a construction site and running material from local plants to the are you are in. A bonus is considered if safe operation and good care is taken of truck i,e communicating with potential issues you may see while operating. The driver will also be required to take OQ training and pass computer tests to be on site. ADDITIONALLY, we are looking for drivers through winter for snow plowing and hauling snow, year round work.

Duties:

• Safely operate trucks and other vehicles to transport sand, gravel, asphalt, etc.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
• Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
• Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries
• Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery logs or inspection reports

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a Truck Driver or similar role
• Knowledge of trucking regulations and safety standards
• Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems

Skills:

• Dump truck operation, I.E. non steerable tag axle on a tri axle dump truck, PTO operation
• Automotive repair knowledge (preferred)
• Route driving experience
• Familiar with 8 speed Eaton Fuller transmission
