Part Time About the Role We are looking for a reliable, experienced driver to join our team delivering production equipment to venues, studios, and event locations throughout the Northeast. This is a hands-on role that requires someone who is comfortable behind the wheel of large commercial vehicles, calm under pressure, and confident navigating the unique challenges of urban and regional driving — including the streets of New York City. Key Responsibilities Safely operate vehicles ranging from cargo/commercial vans up to 26' box trucks Transport production equipment to and from client locations across the Northeast, including New York City and surrounding metro areas Plan and execute efficient routes, accounting for traffic, delivery windows, and vehicle restrictions Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues Load and unload equipment with care, ensuring proper securing and protection of cargo Coordinate with logistics and production teams to confirm schedules and delivery details Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and DOT regulations Requirements Valid driver's license; CDL not required depending on experience Demonstrated experience operating commercial vans and box trucks up to 26' Proven comfort and experience driving in New York City (navigating tight streets, loading zones, traffic, and city regulations) Clean driving record Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50-75 lbs); team lifts for heavier loads Strong time management and communication skills Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as production schedules require Familiarity with DOT hours-of-service rules a plus Preferred Qualifications Background in production, events, or entertainment logistics Experience with equipment-handling best practices (cases, carts, rigging) Familiarity with the Northeast regional road network and common venue locations Compensation Competitive hourly rate or day rate, commensurate with experience.
