As a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, you will work onsite, collaborating with dedicated colleagues and families to foster student growth and independence.
Key Qualifications:
Active Visually Impaired (VI) Teacher License and MA Department of Education (DOE) License Successful completion of all required MTELs Experience or thorough understanding of needs and strategies for teaching students with visual impairments Strong communication and collaboration skills Commitment to individualized instruction and inclusive educational practices
Responsibilities May Include:
Providing direct and consultative instructional services for students with visual impairments Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams-including teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers-to support student success Adapting classroom materials and curriculum for accessibility Monitoring and documenting student progress Offering guidance and support to families and school staff regarding adaptive technology and accessibility tools This role offers both full-time and part-time options, extending through June 18, 2026, giving you the flexibility to fit your career goals. You'll be part of a supportive environment where your expertise will help students thrive academically and personally.
