Job Duties Under general supervision, assists in analysis, modification and design of products and services for assigned projects which requires working knowledge of materials, components, and their applications. Prepares design calculations and specifications. Develops test procedures, conducts tests and completes test result analysis for assigned projects. Assists in handling field and manufacturing problems to maintain and improve products and services. Incorporates Reliability, HSE and Quality analysis techniques during the design process. Support IT infrastructure across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments, with focus on manufacturing systems Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, incidents, and resolutions Collaborate with Security and IT personnel on software and network maintenance requests Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers for issue resolution and system improvements Assist in implementing and enforcing IT policies, procedures, and best practices
Primary Responsibility:
Site-Level Execution Hands-on support for Systems managed hardware (not IT managed): Scanners, tablets, PCs, peripherals OTN Device deployment, replacement, and troubleshooting Owns day-to-day hardware reliability at the site Windows & Device Management Basic Windows support (security response, updates ad hoc, imaging, configuration, drivers) Familiar with device setup, user issues, and break/fix workflows
Practical Networking Understands:
IP addressing, DHCP, DNS Basic VLAN concepts (operational awareness, not design) Can validate and troubleshoot connectivity issues (ping, trace, port checks) Coordinates effectively with global network teams/TAG OT Environment (Learn + Operate) Comfortable working around: Legacy systems Devices that cannot be modified Will learn and apply: Network segmentation concepts (VLANs) Use of jump hosts / controlled access paths Firewall management: rules, device groups, policies Security Execution Follows defined standards for: Endpoint protection (e.g., CrowdStrike) OT Agent interactions (Claroty, Beyond Trust PRA) Device compliance requirements to address risks Understands when to escalate vs. work around issues Qualifications Completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering required; a Masters degree in Engineering preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience. Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer is preferred. Operational Discipline Strong troubleshooting habits (methodical, repeatable) Works requests, documents issues, and closes loops Maintains local inventory and device state awareness Soft Skills Reliable and self-directed in a single-site environment Communicates clearly with operators and central teams Comfortable being the primary onsite technical resource Nice to Have Experience in manufacturing or OT environments Exposure to basic networking hardware (FWs, switches, cabling) Familiarity with Halliburton Supply Chain, and Supply Chain culture Positioning Note This role is a site-embedded technical resource focused on hardware, device support, and OT environment execution, with potential future alignment to global architecture support.
