What they do

A Military Specialist operates and maintains vehicles and mechanical equipment pertinent to mission success, whether on the sea, land or in the air. May monitor communication, detection, or weapons systems during operations. Interprets and evaluates tactical situations, making recommendations to supervisors. May operate weapons targeting, firing, and launch systems whether during combat or peacetime. In addition to their combat training, they have also specialized training in swimming, diving, parachuting, survival, emergency medicine, and foreign languages. Duties include conducting advanced reconnaissance operations and collecting intelligence information; recruiting, training, and equipping friendly forces; conducting raids and invasions on enemy territories; laying and detonating explosives for demolition targets; locating, identifying, defusing, and disposing of ordnance; and operating and maintaining sophisticated communications equipment.

#LI-TF1 Requirements Bachelor's degree or completion of formal Military/DOD intelligence or communications training 14 plus years experience in a directly related operator/analyst or instructional role supporting U.S. military C5ISR, SIGINT, or intelligence systems Demonstrated experience leading New Equipment Training (NET) development for tactical or intelligence systems, including curriculum design, instructional material creation, and coordination with Government stakeholders for training objectives and requirements Direct, hands-on experience as primary curriculum developer and instructor, responsible for preparing and delivering both classroom and practical instruction to military operators and analysts Experience providing Tier II/III help desk support for operator and analyst technical issues, including application troubleshooting, incident response, and escalation of unresolved issues Demonstrated experience as an application tester, including development and execution of operational test procedures, user acceptance testing, documentation of results, and verification of system readiness Experience managing and coordinating Integrated Broadcast System (IBS) activities, including system operation, troubleshooting, and liaison with external supporting agencies Demonstrated experience serving as classified materials manager, with responsibility for tracking, safeguarding, issuing, and accounting for classified documents and media according to DoD policy/regulation Experience as a primary EKMS (Electronic Key Management System) manager, including keying material receipt, inventory, audit, destruction, and all reporting requirements per COMSEC policy Demonstrated ability to manage roles and responsibilities for classified communication systems in accordance with NSA, DoD, and service component directives Possess CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 certification Desired Skills Demonstrated research and analytical skills to improve product/service technical and economic value, including conducting trade studies, cost-benefit analysis, and the development of recommendations Strong oral and written communication skills, including drafting reports, technical artifacts, and delivering program briefs to both contractor and Government leadership 15 plus years experience supporting the TCAC PoR Clearance Information
