Airpets International
Pet Relocation Consultant
Job Description
Pet Relocation Consultant AirPets International - Hurst, TX $19-$21 per hour + performance bonuses + client tips Full-Time | In-Person AirPets International is a global pet travel company helping families safely move their pets throughout the United States and around the world. We are looking for an exceptionally organized, intelligent, driven professional to join our team. This is not a routine customer service or administrative position. Pet travel is detailed, fast-moving, and often unpredictable. A successful consultant may be coordinating an international flight, reviewing veterinary documentation, working with agents overseas, communicating with airlines, tracking time-sensitive paperwork, and reassuring an anxious pet owner — sometimes all within the same hour. Airline embargoes happen. Weather changes. Veterinary paperwork is delayed. FedEx packages do not always arrive when expected. Government requirements change, flights get adjusted, and clients relocating their families can understandably be under tremendous stress. We need someone who can calmly take control of those situations, determine the next step, communicate confidently, and keep moving forward. Who Thrives in This Role The right person is highly organized, quick-thinking, emotionally resilient, and comfortable being responsible for a large number of moving pieces. You should enjoy solving problems rather than becoming overwhelmed by them. Our most successful team members are people who can look at a complicated situation, organize the facts, establish priorities, communicate a clear plan, and execute it — even when the original plan changes. This position may be a strong fit if you: Are extremely organized and naturally keep track of details, deadlines, and follow-up Learn complex information quickly and retain it Can manage multiple active projects without losing important details Remain calm and productive when plans suddenly change Are comfortable making decisions and solving problems Have strong written and verbal communication skills Can communicate confidently with executives, veterinarians, airlines, government agencies, vendors, and pet owners Are empathetic and reassuring without becoming emotionally overwhelmed by a client's stress Take ownership of your work rather than waiting for someone to tell you every next step Follow through consistently and take pride in completing difficult projects successfully Enjoy working as part of a collaborative team while still being accountable for your own results This position is best suited for someone with strong emotional resilience and a steady temperament. Pet travel can involve significant time pressure and unexpected obstacles. The ability to remain composed, prioritize effectively, and continue working toward a solution is essential. What You'll Do As a Pet Relocation Consultant, you will manage domestic and international pet movements from planning through successful completion.
Responsibilities include:
Developing customized travel plans based on each pet, destination, airline, and client situation Coordinating domestic and international pet transportation Booking and confirming airline transportation Coordinating veterinarians, ground transportation, overseas agents, boarding, customs services, and other vendors Researching and applying airline, destination, veterinary, and governmental requirements Tracking documentation and deadlines throughout each relocation Reviewing veterinary paperwork and other time-sensitive documents for accuracy and completion Communicating detailed instructions and timelines to clients Helping clients understand complex travel requirements in a clear and reassuring way Monitoring relocations and proactively addressing potential problems Responding quickly when unexpected issues threaten a planned move Maintaining accurate client and relocation information within our systems Working closely with our sales, operations, animal care, driving, and management teams Providing an exceptional client experience from the beginning of the relocation through reunion You will become the primary source of information and guidance for many of your clients.
