Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding opportunity working in the field of medical imaging, specializing in general ultrasound. This contract position plays a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic images for medical teams and patients.
Responsibilities include:
Performing general ultrasound imaging procedures, ensuring accurate and high-quality images for interpretation Explaining procedures to patients and addressing their questions to ease any concerns Maintaining and operating ultrasound equipment following safety protocols Collaborating closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare team members Completing and managing patient records, including image storage and documentation Assisting in patient positioning and ensuring patient comfort throughout procedures Adhering strictly to infection control procedures and facility policies Continuously updating knowledge on new ultrasound techniques and advancements Desired qualifications and experience: Current certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS or equivalent) Demonstrated experience with general ultrasound imaging in a clinical or hospital environment Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound technology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced healthcare setting Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and record-keeping skills CPR/BLS certification preferred Willingness to work effectively in a collaborative team atmosphere This contract position offers you an excellent way to build your experience in a dynamic healthcare setting and make a lasting impact on patient care.
