Job Description

Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in ultrasound imaging to a high-impact role where your diagnostic skills are valued and essential. As an Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer, you will play a key part in providing vital diagnostic information to healthcare teams, helping support positive patient outcomes.
Schedule/Hours:
12-hour shifts Night shifts available
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a wide range of general ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, and small parts imaging, adhering to established protocols Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring safety, accuracy, and optimal image quality Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare team members, effectively communicating findings Prepare patients for procedures, clearly explaining processes and answering questions to ease concerns Accurately document exams and patient information in electronic medical records Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technologies and best practices through ongoing professional development
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Ultrasound Technology Current ARDMS certification (Abdomen/OB-GYN preferred) Proven experience in general ultrasound imaging Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and sonographic physics Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities Ability to handle high patient volumes while maintaining quality and compassion
