Ultrasound Technician Weston, FL 33326 Part-time, Full-time Part-time, Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ultrasound Technician to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will utilize advanced ultrasound imaging technology to assist in diagnosing and monitoring a variety of medical conditions. Your expertise will contribute to high-quality patient care, especially in specialized areas such as maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics and gynecology (Ob/Gyn). You will work closely with physicians, patients, and other healthcare professionals to deliver precise imaging results that inform treatment plans. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a dynamic clinical environment committed to excellence and compassionate care. Duties Operate ultrasound equipment to produce detailed images of internal organs, tissues, and fetal development. Assist physicians in performing diagnostic procedures by preparing patients and explaining the process clearly. Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures. Apply thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately capture images relevant to each case. Maintain detailed records of imaging procedures, patient information, and findings for accurate documentation. Communicate effectively with patients to ease anxiety, explain procedures, and answer questions professionally. Collaborate with obstetricians, radiologists, and other specialists in maternal-fetal medicine or Ob/Gyn cases for comprehensive patient care. Keep up-to-date with advancements in sonography technology and medical imaging practices through ongoing education. Qualifications Proven experience or training in sonography or diagnostic radiology is preferred. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to ultrasound imaging. Knowledge of maternal-fetal medicine and Ob/Gyn procedures enhances diagnostic capabilities. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols is essential for patient safety. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members. Ability to operate ultrasound equipment confidently and troubleshoot technical issues as needed. Basic understanding of medical imaging standards and patient care practices.
