Job Description

Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Contract Deliver exceptional care and expertise as an Ultrasound Technician working under the guidance of physicians to perform general ultrasound exams for accurate patient diagnoses. This contract opportunity is ideal for skilled professionals passionate about patient-centered imaging and collaborative care.
Schedule:
Contract position; flexible shifts may be available.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current registration with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Proven competency in ultrasound modalities and protocols Solid understanding of patient identification, exam preparation, and structured imaging techniques Demonstrated ability to instruct and assist students or peers with imaging protocols, positioning, and equipment operation Familiarity with infection control, sterile technique, and emergency response in a clinical setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient education and teamwork Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Experience with vascular procedures is highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to established protocols for exam performance, patient identification, and order verification Prepare patients and equipment for high-quality ultrasound imaging, always prioritizing patient comfort and concerns Review and ensure clarity, quality, and accuracy of images prior to completion Maintain thorough records, including patient data, procedures performed, and any incident documentation Provide comprehensive instruction to students and new technologists, promoting professional development Apply infection control practices and maintain high standards of equipment cleanliness Complete all reporting and management documentation accurately, including coding and charging Participate actively in department quality control programs and promptly report equipment failures As an integral member of the imaging department, your technical expertise and dedication to service will help deliver meaningful patient care.
