Summary:

Assists in planning, organizing, coordinating, implementing and evaluating the activities occurring in the patient care department. Performs clerical and receptionist duties and maintains a neat, organized work area.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

High school diploma Successful completion of Unit Clerk course or equivalent, i.e. Project Soar Program AAS Degree in Secretarial Science, Medical Office Assistant or equivalent (preferred)

EXPERIENCE

Computer experience One (1) year office experience or unit clerk experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

Knowledgeable with medical terminology Typing skills Computer literate Medical terminology Knowledge on using office equipment, fax, phones, call systems, paging system, computer, printers Accuracy in typing and data entry
