Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Unit Manager and Wound Nurse to join our team. As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the unit, including managing staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Your clinical expertise as a wound nurse will be utilized to provide high-quality wound care to our patients.
Responsibilities:
Supervise nursing staff, including LPNs, RNs, and CNAs, to ensure provision of high-quality patient care Assist with new admissions, re-admissions, and transfers of patients to different rooms within the facility Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients Conduct wound assessments, develop wound care plans, and implement wound care treatments Monitor and report patient progress, identifying changes in condition or behavior Participate in clinical start-up and department head stand-up meetings Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure seamless transitions and positive outcomes
Requirements:
Licensed LPN or RN in good standing and currently licensed by the State of Maryland or Mulitstate License Minimum one year of experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing Valid CPR Certification Ability to maintain regular attendance and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulations Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn company software (PCC) Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information Ability to relate professionally and positively with patients, families, and other employees
