Unit Secretary - Same Day Surgery

Be the

First Point of Contact:

Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors with warmth and professionalism, helping them feel comfortable and informed.

Help Manage Patient Records:

Organize, maintain, and prepare patient charts and records, ensuring everything is accurate and up-to-date. Assist with

Communication:

Answer phone calls, assist with scheduling, and make pre-arrival calls to ensure patients are fully prepared for their appointments.

Data Entry & Charge Processing:

Accurately enter patient information and process daily charges into our electronic system, contributing to the smooth operation of the unit. Support the

Team:

Help with supply management, including tracking inventory and ensuring the unit has everything it needs to function efficiently.

Qualifications:

Ability to work independently, manage your tasks, and take initiative when needed. Open to training, eager to grow your skills, and adaptable to new challenges. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Detail-oriented, able to stay organized, and handle multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable using computers and basic office equipment. Previous experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus but not required.
