Job Description
Hospice Volunteer - Stark County and surrounding areas!! Volunteer activities available... Sitting with patients to provide companionship, play games, and offer a friendly, comforting presence. Sending encouraging letters and cards. Calling patients and their families to check on needs. Assisting with administrative duties at our Beachwood office. Making blankets, quilts, pillows, and crafts for our patients. Providing support to our bereaved families by assisting with mailings, phone calls and in-home grief support visits. And so much more! This is an unpaid, volunteer position.
Qualifications:
Availability of time and skills which pertain to the volunteer activity Maintain confidentiality Ability to work independently and take directions well. Empathetic listening skills Ability to understand and tolerate hardship stories.Time Commitment:
Time commitment is flexible and can work around your schedule and availability.
