In this pivotal role, you will oversee the acquisition of high-quality used vehicles, manage vendor relationships, and ensure a seamless process from vehicle sourcing to inventory intake. Your expertise in sales, negotiation, and inventory management will drive the success of our used car program, delivering exceptional value to our dealership and customers alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, optimize buying strategies, and contribute to the growth of a thriving automotive enterprise. Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to acquire high-end used vehicles that meet quality standards and market demand. Negotiate purchase prices and terms with external vendors, private sellers, and fleet companies to maximize profitability. Manage the sales pipeline for vehicle acquisitions, tracking leads, follow-ups, and closing deals efficiently. Lead and support a team of buying specialists, providing coaching on sales techniques, inventory control, and customer service excellence. Utilize CRM software to monitor inventory levels, customer interactions, and sales activities for continuous improvement. Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify new sourcing opportunities and optimize buying strategies. Oversee inventory management processes ensuring accurate record-keeping, proper vehicle storage, and timely updates in dealership systems. Maintain excellent phone etiquette and communication skills when engaging with vendors, internal teams, and customers. Implement upselling techniques during negotiations to enhance profit margins while maintaining customer satisfaction. Coordinate with marketing teams to promote available vehicles through various channels including B2B sales efforts. Ensure compliance with all dealership policies, local regulations, and safety standards during vehicle procurement activities. Requirements Proven experience in automobile sales or dealership management with a focus on used vehicle procurement. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful B2B sales and high-end deal closures. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in CRM software and inventory management systems; familiarity with retail math and dealership operations is preferred. Exceptional communication skills including public speaking abilities; bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus. Experience in outbound sales, cold calling, marketing strategies, and sales pipeline development. Knowledge of automotive industry standards, inventory control practices, retail sales techniques, and customer service excellence. Ability to analyze data using retail math principles to make informed purchasing decisions. Strong organizational skills paired with effective phone etiquette for engaging vendors and internal stakeholders alike.
