Job Description
Job Summary This internship focuses on Supply Chain, Continuous Improvement and Engineering process enhancement using Lean principles to eliminate waste, improve flow, reduce costs, and support operational excellence. The position is handson, with the intern spending significant time on the shop floor working directly with a cross section of teams.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Support engineering efforts focused on process improvement, efficiency enhancement, and waste reduction.
Work closely with the Engineering, Supply Chain & Continuous Improvement team, and shop floor personnel to deliver measurable improvements in and around the site.
Utilize MS Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and other tools to analyze data and prepare presentations, reports, and technical documentation.
Organize and disposition obsolete inventory after system reconciliation Required Skills and Abilities Strong organizational, timemanagement, and problemsolving abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with strong overall technical aptitude. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate and resolve conflicts. Selfstarter with the ability to independently research and investigate solutions before seeking assistance.
Education and Experience Requirements Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or related discipline). Ideally entering Junior or Senior yearGPA of 3.00 or higher. Strong interest in pursuing an engineering career in a technical, shopintegrated environment.
Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a computer workstation. Frequent periods of standing and walking on the shop floor. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
