is subject to the direction and control of the Chief of Space Operations (CSO) and directs the United States Space Force National Capital Region Space Staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in developing policy, guidance, and orders to USSF Field Commands. Support formulation, coordination, and communication of USSF positions on transitioning acquisitions programs to operationally accepted weapon systems. Support formulation, coordination, and communication of USSF positions on joint matters, Joint Staff actions, and best military advice. Assist in preparing senior USSF staff for participation in Joint Staff led forums. Provide strategic-level expertise in Space Force Exercises. Advise senior leadership in planning, developing, and coordinating exercise activities and events. Generate recommendations for new exercise related programs, policies, doctrine, strategies, studies, and approaches. Interpret national level guidance and ensure incorporation into USSF efforts, inform USSF Best Military Advice by providing warfighting analysis, novel concepts, and expert decision support. Support ongoing development and changes to Space Staff's, decision-making, stakeholder analyses, decision/risk management, exercise planning, and other tasks to support the division.
SUPERVISION
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree plus a minimum of 10 years of experience in an Operations, Engineering, Scientific, Data Science, Software Programming, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Analysis, Policy or Planning field, or equivalent experience/responsibility Data analysis and visualization
ADDITIONAL SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE
Space Operations experience Expertise with weapon system operational acceptance procedures. Experience in DoD acquisitions, spiral development programs, and program transitions. Extensive familiarity with DoD programming, planning and budgeting processes. Ability to research and draft talking points, briefing documents. Strong verbal, communication, and written skills; ability to create and edit written correspondence.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Skilled in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (
