TBD — Pending Compensation Grade Structure Position Summary The Weighmaster is responsible for the accurate weighing of loaded trucks, timely processing of weight tickets, and coordination of walk-in and phone-based customer orders at an assigned facility. This role serves as a critical operational link between customers, drivers, dispatchers, and the Billing department by ensuring that transactions are recorded accurately and that supporting documentation is completed and forwarded in a timely manner. The Weighmaster supports pit truck coordination while providing attentive customer service and precise data management, contributing directly to the efficiency and financial accuracy of daily site operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities The following duties are considered essential functions of this position. Other duties may be assigned. Weighs loaded trucks on the facility scale, enters weight data accurately into the computer system, and generates paper tickets or transmits weight records electronically per established procedures. Processes walk-in customer orders by assessing needs, generating the appropriate transaction tickets, and coordinating delivery arrangements with dispatch personnel. Collaborates closely with dispatchers to relay current pricing information to customers and ensures that accurate rate data is communicated in a consistent and timely manner. Accepts and reconciles customer payments (check, credit card, etc.) and completes COD sales reports. Forwards all payments, receipts, and completed financial documentation to the Billing department or designated office in accordance with established protocols. Maintains organized records of all weight tickets, order documents, and transaction reports, ensuring that files are complete, accurate, and accessible for audit or review purposes. Documents and maintains accurate safety records in compliance with MSHA workplace safety standards and regulations. Monitors workload volume and communicates any irregularities, discrepancies, or operational concerns to supervisory personnel in a timely manner. Performs other duties as assigned in support of site and departmental objectives. Required Qualifications Proficient written and verbal communication skills sufficient to interact professionally with customers, drivers, and internal personnel Basic mathematical skills with the ability to accurately perform calculations related to weights, pricing, and transaction totals Proficiency in computer operation including Microsoft Office applications and data entry functions Ability to learn and operate scale management software systems Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in a weighmaster, dispatch, or logistics support role within a construction materials, aggregate, or heavy industry environment Familiarity with aggregate or bulk material operations and associated terminology Prior experience operating or supporting a truck scale or dispatch management system Education High school diploma or equivalent required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
