Job Posting Varsity Lacrosse Coach Vicksburg High School May 14, 2026 Position Summary Vicksburg Community Schools is seeking a Varsity Lacrosse Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive role model to the players and parents
• Teach skills through effectively planned practices at a level appropriate for each member of the team
• Condition athletes appropriately for activities requiring endurance, strength and agility
• Responsible for all aspects of directing the team's practice and play in games.
• Teach sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic and responsibility to one's team
• Monitor player's personal conduct during games
• Manage equipment
• Effectively communicate with parents about expectations, schedules, etc.
• Performs related duties as required

• Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Effective verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well with 13-18-year-old student athletes
• Previous soccer coaching experience at the high school level
• Previous playing experience at the high school or college level
• Willingness to learn and follow district and MHSAA rules and guidelines
• Concussion/CPR/AED training required
• Must pass background checks and comply with state and district requirements for working with students. Physical Requirements
• Ability to run, walk, and move around school campuses, fields, and other facilities.
• May be required to stand, stoop, bend, kneel and squat for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions including hot, cold and rainy weather.
• May require an employee to lift and/or move heavy objects.
