Job Description

Venue Attendant •
Event Set-up:
Assisting with the set-up and arrangement of furniture, equipment, and decor items according to the event requirements and floor plans. Knowledgeable of the venue operations standards and policies.
Venue Maintenance:
Ensuring that the venue is clean, organized, and presentable before, during, and after events. This includes cleaning and tidying up common areas, restrooms, and event spaces.
Customer Service:
Providing excellent customer service to event organizers, vendors, and guests. Assisting with inquiries, directing guests to different areas of the venue, and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
Safety and Security:
Monitoring the venue during events to ensure the safety and security of guests and property. This may include crowd management, enforcing venue policies, and responding to emergencies or incidents.
Equipment Operation:
Operating and maintaining various equipment within the venue, such as audiovisual systems, lighting controls, heating/cooling systems, and other technical equipment.
Event Support:
Assisting event organizers with any additional tasks or requests during events, such as setting up additional seating, distributing materials or supplies, or coordinating with other event staff.
Venue Clean-up:
Assisting with post-event clean-up activities, including removing trash, dismantling equipment or decor items, and returning the venue to its original condition.
Communication:
Maintaining effective communication with venue management and other staff members regarding event details, changes, or issues that may arise.
Problem-solving:
Identifying and resolving any issues or challenges related to the venue setup, maintenance, or guest experience during events.
Compliance:
Ensuring compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations, fire codes, licensing requirements, and venue policies. Dispensing useful information to event-goers. Inspecting equipment for damage after use and checking it against an inventory list. Picking up equipment and cleaning when the event is completed.
