We are seeking a skilled and caring veterinarian to join our team and help us provide the best possible care to our clients and community. As a veterinarian at Emergency Vets, you will diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of conditions in small animals. This role involves performing general and surgical veterinary duties, advising clients on emergency care options, and working collaboratively with our support team to deliver outstanding patient care.

Responsibilities Shift responsibilities:

162 total shifts per year with an average of 104 weekend shifts and 58 weeknight shifts. (36-40 hours per week) This includes 2 major holiday shifts and 3 minor holiday shifts. Examine and diagnose medical conditions in animals and provide comprehensive treatment plans. Perform surgical procedures as needed. Administer treatment appropriate to each animal and monitor throughout hospitalization. Educate clients on diagnosis and treatment options including discharge instructions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients treated. Collaborate with a team of veterinary technicians and support staff to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. Stay current with the latest veterinary practices and advancements. Skills Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) State Veterinary Board certification/license (or eligibility) to practice in Mississippi 2 years experience Strong diagnostic, surgical, and patient mangement skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate approach towards animals and their owners, demonstrating empathy in all interactions Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment
