Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant and Technician, where your passion for animal care and technical expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners. In this role, you will assist veterinarians with clinical procedures, provide exceptional pet care, and ensure a smooth operation within our veterinary practice. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute to a compassionate environment dedicated to animal health and well-being. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures, ensuring all equipment and supplies are prepared and sterile. Perform animal restraint and handling with confidence, ensuring safety for both pets and staff. Conduct laboratory tests, prepare samples, and operate Idexx diagnostic equipment Maintain detailed records of animal treatments, laboratory results, and procedural documentation following aseptic techniques. Assist with dental procedures and dental radiographs by understanding dental terminology and supporting oral health treatments. Support veterinary critical care efforts by providing attentive animal care during emergencies or intensive treatments. Execute digital radiographs on both awake and sedated patients. Skills Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques. Experience in animal catheterization, restraint, handling, and handling practices. Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures related to pet oral health. Laboratory experience including sample collection, processing, and diagnostic testing. Veterinary technician experience demonstrating proficiency in supporting clinical procedures and critical care. Dog handling skills combined with pet care expertise to ensure calm interactions during examinations or treatments. Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely while understanding radiation safety protocols. Pay:
$19.00 - $27.00 per hour
