Veterinary Assistant or Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Veterinary Assistant or Technician to join our team. Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarian in routine medical procedures and surgeries
• Perform animal catheterization and administer medications as directed
• Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results
• Monitor vital signs of animals during procedures and recovery
• Provide post-operative care and administer treatments as prescribed
• Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
• Assist with dog training and behavior management
• Ensure aseptic technique is followed to prevent infection
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the veterinary clinic

Skills:

• Animal experience is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of animal care, physiology, and behavior
• Proficient in veterinary technician procedures and techniques
• Ability to perform animal catheterization with precision
• Experience with laboratory tests and interpreting results
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners
• Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
