Responsibilities:

• This position is intended to include Licensed technician duties as well as reception duties.
• Greet and check-in clients and their pets with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Schedule appointments and manage the veterinary clinic's calendar
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from clients
• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various tasks, such as restraining animals during examinations or procedures
• Maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history and treatments
• Process payments and handle financial transactions
• Keep the reception area clean and organized

Experience:

• Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is preferred
• Knowledge of aseptic technique for maintaining a sterile environment
• Familiarity with animal handling techniques, including dogs, cats, and potentially equine species
• Understanding of animal physiology and common medical conditions
• Ability to provide basic pet care advice to clients, such as grooming or training recommendations
• Experience working in a laboratory setting may be beneficial
• Veterinary assistant certification is a plus We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist who is passionate about providing exceptional customer service to both clients and their pets.
