Veterinary Assistant/Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Veterinary Assistant to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures Handle and restrain animals during treatments and X-rays Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian Collect samples for laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis Maintain cleanliness and organization Work as CSR if required Educate pet owners on proper care and treatment plans Monitor patient vital signs and report any abnormalities to the veterinarian Ability to place IV catheters is a plus, but on the job training is available Requirements Position is only available for weekends 8am-7pm on saturdays and 9am to 6pm on sundays, please do not apply if you are not available on weekends High school diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of experience in veterinary medicine as a vet assistant (required) Experience with fear-free handling techniques preferred Strong communication, interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with composure Passion for animal care and welfare Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., bend, and stand for extended periods of time

Salary Range:
