Position Summary:

Prospect Ridge Veterinary Hospital has been providing care to the pets of West Orange and surrounding areas since 1992. A full service practice, we offer general medicine, dentistry, surgery, in-house labs, digital radiology, care of exotics, therapeutic laser and more! The Veterinary Assistant and Technicians are the key to providing high quality care to our patients and support to each other and our Doctors. The right individuals to join our team would be outgoing and self motivated regarding the care of our patients, while being an effective communicator with the team and for our clients. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians in examining and treating animals, ensuring proper animal handling and restraint techniques are utilized. Administer medications and vaccinations as directed, while maintaining accurate records of treatments. Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring a sterile environment. Provide compassionate care to pets and their owners, demonstrating strong communication skills to explain procedures and answer questions. Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting any changes to the veterinary team promptly.

Pay:

$16.00 - $24.00 per hour
