Veterinary Nursing Manager - Specialty & Emergency Services

The Role As Nursing Manager , you are responsible for the strategic vision, operational excellence, and leadership development of the nursing department. This is not a role for someone who wants to manage tasks — it is for someone who wants to build leaders, define standards, and influence outcomes . You will directly support and develop Nursing Supervisors, partner closely with the Practice Manager and Medical Directors, and ensure the nursing department operates with clarity, consistency, and clinical excellence. Is already a respected clinical leader Thinks in systems, not just staffing Develops people, not just policies Uses data to guide decisions, not gut alone Balances high standards with sustainable team health Is comfortable holding leaders accountable while supporting their growth What You'll Be Responsible For Leading, mentoring, and developing Nursing Supervisors to maximize performance and leadership capability Partnering with supervisors on staffing models, scheduling strategy, and resource allocation Collaborating with the Practice Manager and Medical Directors to align nursing operations with hospital goals Developing, refining, and enforcing nursing standards, protocols, and best practices Overseeing training and professional development across the nursing department Using metrics and data to drive continuous improvement in patient care, workflow efficiency, and team effectiveness Supporting supervisors in conflict resolution and fostering a positive, high-performance culture Ensuring the nursing department consistently reflects Eclipse's mission, values, and clinical expectations This is a hands-on leadership role. Clinical credibility is non-negotiable. Who This Role Is For You are likely a strong fit if you: Are a credentialed veterinary technician (LVT, RVT, CVT) Have 5+ years of veterinary nursing experience Have at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role Are confident in specialty and/or emergency medicine environments Communicate clearly, especially during high-pressure situations Care more about building excellent teams than protecting ego Want to build something sustainable — not manage burnout This role is not for someone seeking a title without influence or accountability.
