Job Description

Animal Wellness Centers (AWC) is seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to join our growing, non-corporate veterinary hospital in the beautiful Venice Beach / Marina del Rey area of Los Angeles. We recently expanded into a larger, modern facility and have a strong, established client base ready for continued growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about building strong teams, exceptional client experiences, and efficient hospital operations. About Our Hospital & Team AWC is a three-doctor practice known for providing high-quality, progressive medicine with compassion and professionalism. Our friendly, well-trained team supports both high-end clientele and local rescue organizations, creating a diverse and rewarding practice environment. We also work closely with area specialists and have a part-time internist on staff. The Role As Practice Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in overseeing daily hospital operations while supporting doctors and staff to ensure smooth workflows, strong communication, and an outstanding client experience. You'll work closely with ownership to drive growth, foster a positive culture, and help guide the practice into its next phase.

What You'll Do:
  • Implement new ideas and changes as a dedicated manager
  • Maintain the practice's strong reputation in the community through high-quality client service
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team—Doctors, Vet-Techs, and Veterinary Assistants
  • Recruit, hire, train, and manage employee performance and development.
  • Oversee scheduling, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
  • Control inventory, supplies, equipment maintenance, and vendor relations.
  • Ensure operational protocols
OSHA, DEA
etc. are followed
  • Handle client service, communications, escalation of concerns.
  • Support marketing, online presence, and community outreach efforts.
What We're Looking For:
  • 3+ years of veterinary practice management or RVT with supervior experience- CVPM certification is a plus!
  • Strong business acumen—budgeting, inventory, financial reporting.
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills.
  • Knowledgeable about regulatory compliance and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and client-service skills; empathetic.
  • Tech-savvy—comfortable with PIMS (i.e. EzyVet, )MS Office.
