This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a passionate veterinary team dedicated to animal health and well-being. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage the clinic's appointment calendar efficiently. Answer phone calls promptly, provide information about services, and address client inquiries with professionalism. Collect payments and process medical billing accurately, including handling medical collections when necessary. Maintain detailed patient records, update medical histories, and ensure all documentation aligns with veterinary terminology standards. Assist in animal handling tasks such as restraint during examinations or treatments, ensuring safety for both animals and staff. Support kennel operations by coordinating pet care, feeding schedules, and cleaning routines to uphold high standards of animal husbandry. Facilitate communication between clients and veterinary staff regarding pet care instructions, follow-up appointments, or laboratory results. Manage laboratory sample intake and assist with basic laboratory procedures under supervision to support diagnostic processes. Ensure aseptic techniques are followed during sample collection or minor procedures to maintain a sterile environment. Help with pet grooming or dog training sessions as needed to enhance client satisfaction and animal comfort. Experience Must be 18yrs old or older Must be a self-starter, able to multitask and a team player. Genuinely enjoys working with animals and is able to deal with them even when they are stressed, ill or in pain. Prefer 1+ years of experience in a customer service driven field , but not required. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Work requires lifting, carrying and restraining animals (will be assisted by other staff members in lifting animals over 40 lbs.). Should be able to lift 40lbs on own. Walks or stands for extended periods or time; frequently works in a bent or squatting position. Is experienced in the teamwork approach and works well with all levels of hospital team members.
