Veterinary Receptionist - Experienced

Overview We are looking for an experienced veterinary receptionist who is excited to be the face of the front, the first point of contact for our clients, and the friendly voice on the phone. The front desk is the first impression, making you a vital part of every client's experience. Your expertise, calm demeanor, and never-ending ability to juggle multiple tasks without looking flustered is crucial to maintaining the welcoming environment we strive to create here at Guilford Animal Medical Center. Responsibilities Greet clients, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins and check-outs Answering phone calls in a prompt, friendly manner and engaging with every caller Facilitate communication between clients and veterinary staff by relaying instructions clearly and answering inquiries about pet care and treatment plans Maintain detailed records of pet medical histories, treatments, and laboratory results using veterinary management software Support laboratory procedures by preparing samples and submissions Handle medication refill requests Experience Proven experience as a veterinary receptionist or in a similar customer service role within a veterinary clinic or animal hospital Familiarity with veterinary terminology Understanding of common veterinary vaccines, tests, and medications Ability to communicate effectively with clients about complex medical information in a clear and empathetic manner We want to hire someone who wants to be at the front desk and who has pride in their role.
